Shia community in the south island city of Christchurch has grown rapidly in the last few years to more than 700 persons. And Al-Fatemiah association is launched by this community in order to pursue the Ahlu-Albayt (AS) school of thought. The community has a small house in order to persist educating the community and holding religious ceremonies (for example Moharram’s cermonies, Eidein prayers, Quran classes and other Doua’s). But the house is under-facilitated and can not accommodate the huge number of the Shia community resident in Christchurch.
