The Islamic Association of Lincoln, a registered Charity (Charity Reg. No. 1090992) was founded in 1980. Regular prayers are offered here, but Friday prayers are held at the Grandstand Community Centre. The Friday sermon starts at around 1:15 and the Prayer usually starts at 1:25pm.

Our objectives are to promote Islam to Muslims and Non-Muslims and increase awareness of Islam in the Community. Its important that at this time to give true image of Islam to non-Muslims. Over the past 5 years we have had over 10 non-Muslims, who have converted to Islam. Lincoln has one of the larger Muslim communities in Lincolnshire, which is the 2nd largest county in country. We have links with other Muslim communities in and around the county such as in Boston and Louth. We are keen to develop our networks in the county in order to promote unity and brotherhood. It has become clear over the past few years that our Community requires a new large premises in order to cater for the Community’s needs, our current attendance at Jumah prayers is around 150 and this is rising steadily.
