A historic milestone was achieved in November 1999 when its spanking new four-storey building was officially opened after more than a year of extensive rebuilding. The original, which dated back to 1896, was built on land donated by an individual. The masjid with its simple and modern architecture can accommodate up to 1500 people. Besides the daily religious classes, it offers counseling sessions for couples every Wednesday.
